Streaming amp (and my iPad) However I still use WMP for library management and keep it as default player. iTunes for Windows is the player I use most because it has 'Airplay' compatibility with my Marantz or Alac (apple's lossless audio codec) - As mp3 is on the way out too, for general purpose low-storage space use I've moved to mp4. I dabbled with Flac when it became available on W10 but found there were drawbacks with compatibility. For high quality audio I have settledįor sticking with wav. More generally, WMP is being gradually downgraded by MS with media programs often being supplied by PC makers. Your best bet is probably one of the Technet forums. I ran a search when your Q first appeared because I haven't a clue! Like you, I found nothing useful.
As you have discovered it is not info that seems to be readily available (including Nathan who edited your post) so there is very little involvement/input here from MS techs.
